Pottsville came tearing into Friday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Waldron Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 on April 8th.

Pottsville's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Waldron, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
