Volleyball Game Preview: Portsmouth West Senators vs. Minford Falcons

The Portsmouth West Senators will challenge the Minford Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Portsmouth West is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight matches on Tuesday. They came up short against Waverly, falling 3-0. Senators fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Tigers since Tuesday.

Portsmouth West was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Waverly work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-10, 28-15.

Meanwhile, Minford lost 3-0 to Wheelersburg on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-18, 25-17.

Portsmouth West's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Minford, they now have a losing record of 10-11.
