Baseball Recap: Bryan Comes Up Short

Bryan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 12-5 to the Louisville Lions. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Trey Fondren and Eddie Chavez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Fondren got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI, while Chavez went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Fondren is becoming a predictor of Bryan's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 4-16 when he doesn't).

Bryan's record is now 6-17. As for Louisville, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-11 record.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bryan will square off against rival Thurston-Cuming County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Louisville is set to challenge their familiar foe Seward at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
