Basketball Game Preview: University Wildcats vs. Los Angeles CES Unicorns

University is 2-8 against Los Angeles CES since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The University Wildcats will head out to take on the Los Angeles CES Unicorns at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

University is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Hamilton on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. University took a blow against Hamilton, falling 74-11. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 890th, while the Yankees are ranked 18th).

Los Angeles CES played against Palisades and lost via forfeit.

This is the second loss in a row for University and nudges their season record down to 4-14. As for Los Angeles CES, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

University didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Los Angeles CES in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 30-25 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for University since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
