Softball Recap: Community Christian Takes a Loss

Community Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 18-4 to the Jones Longhorns. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 back in August.

Community Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makenlie Riley, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Another was Ellie McMannis, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Community Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Jones, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-12 record this season.

Community Christian will head out on the road to challenge Millwood at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jones, they will welcome Prague at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
