Soccer Recap: Newark Comes Up Short

Newark lost against Reynoldsburg back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats came up short against the Raiders, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Newark can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 483rd, while Reynoldsburg are ranked 180th).

Newark's loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Reynoldsburg, they now have a winning record of 6-5-2.

Coming up, Newark will take on Lancaster at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Reynoldsburg, they will be playing at home against Bishop Hartley at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
