Baseball Recap: Buchanan Takes a Loss

Buchanan extended their losing streak to six on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 4-9 in the process. They fell 11-8 to the Brandywine Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-9 on Tuesday.

As for Brandywine, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games.

For Brandywine's part, Kaeden Warfield was incredible, going 3-for-5 with five stolen bases and three runs. With that strong performance, Warfield is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Ryder Richard was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Brandywine beat Buchanan by a score of 11-8 on Friday.
