Soccer Game Preview: Conifer vs. Dakota Ridge

The Conifer Lobos will head out to square off against the Dakota Ridge Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Conifer will be strutting in after a victory while Dakota Ridge will be coming in after a defeat.

Conifer will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Friday, then bounced right back against Colorado Rocky Mountain on Saturday. The Lobos put the hurt on the Oysters with a sharp 8-1 win. The score was close at halftime, but Conifer pulled away in the second half with six goals.

Despite a strong season so far, Dakota Ridge has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They lost 5-1 to Evergreen on Friday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Dakota Ridge were already down 5-0.

Dakota Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Conifer, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5-1.

Conifer might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from Dakota Ridge in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Lobos were down 4-0.
