Basketball Game Preview: Thomas A. Edison Owls vs. Parkway West HOYAS

The Thomas A. Edison Owls will head out on the road to square off against the Parkway West HOYAS at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Thomas A. Edison's offense hasn't had much luck over their past four matchups, but Wednesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thomas A. Edison is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Science Leadership Academy at Beeber on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Thomas A. Edison was beaten by Science Leadership Academy at Beeber 52-17. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 614th, while the Rockets are ranked 188th).

Destiny Speach put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted nine points. That was a full 52.9% of Thomas A. Edison's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Meanwhile, Parkway West made easy work of Maritime Academy Charter on Monday and carried off a 45-21 win.

Thomas A. Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Parkway West, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
