Preview: Riverfield Country Day Ravens vs. Chouteau-Mazie Wildcats
The Riverfield Country Day Ravens on the road again on Thursday and play against the Chouteau-Mazie Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. Hopefully Riverfield Country Day focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, things could have been worse for Riverfield Country Day, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-50 loss to Liberty.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Braedon Clinton, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Rutterford, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Chouteau-Mazie's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 58-23 loss at the hands of Liberty. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chouteau-Mazie in their matchups with Liberty: they've now lost three in a row.
Riverfield Country Day's record now sits at 13-4. As for Chouteau-Mazie, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12.
Riverfield Country Day strolled past Chouteau-Mazie in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 59-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Riverfield Country Day since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
