Basketball Recap: Greeley West Spartans vs. Centaurus Warriors
The Greeley West Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight defeat. They suffered a rough 61-39 loss at the hands of Centaurus. Greeley West has struggled against the Warriors recently, as their contest on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Greeley West still got an impressive performance from Andrew Zepeda, who scored 17 points along with five steals. Zepeda has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times he's played. Angel Rodriguez was another key contributor, scoring four points along with two steals.
Centaurus' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Esposito, who scored 18 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jameson Love, who scored 12 points.
Greeley West has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season. As for Centaurus, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
