Football Game Preview: Mesa Ridge Grizzlies vs. Loveland Red Wolves + Official Tickets

The Mesa Ridge Grizzlies will challenge the Loveland Red Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Mesa Ridge made easy work of Falcon and carried off a 32-6 victory. The win continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won four in a row.

Mesa Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Tishaun Kearney led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Aiden Haus has become a key player for Mesa Ridge: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least one interception, but 3-4 otherwise. Haus got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Loveland posted their closest victory since August 28th on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 17-14 win over Poudre.

Mesa Ridge better keep an eye on Jackson Gebhardt. He was instrumental in Loveland's win, rushing for 130 yards and two touchdowns. They also relied on Gebhardt, who's 46-yard boot wound up being the difference in the game.

Loveland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 238 rushing yards. They are 4-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

The victory got Mesa Ridge back to even at 5-5. As for Loveland, the win also got them back to even at 5-5.

Everything came up roses for Mesa Ridge against Loveland in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, as the team secured a 57-7 victory. In that matchup, the Grizzlies amassed a halftime lead of 43-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
