Volleyball Recap: Neodesha Snags Eighth Win in Last Ten Games

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Neodesha and Caney Valley meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Blue Streaks came out on top against the Bullpups by a score of 2-0. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-0 victory on Tuesday.

Neodesha not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Caney Valley between 18 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19.

Allison Stover paced Neodesha's offense, picking up ten kills. Stover got some help from Kimmy Combs and her 15 assists. Dalia Johnson controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Neodesha has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 27-6 record this season. As for Caney Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-13 record this season.

Neodesha wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Southeast on the 11th. As for Caney Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Baxter Springs on the 11th.
