Basketball Recap: Lutheran Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Kaden Tisdall and Hudson Raymond

It was a proper cat-fight when Lutheran duked it out with Fruita Monument on Friday. The Lions received a blow as they fell 79-61 to the Wildcats. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in December of 2024.

Lutheran's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Hudson Raymond, who went 11-for-19 on his way to 21 points, and Kaden Tisdall, who shot 50% from the field en route to 17 points. Logan Clarkson was another key player, putting up five points.

Jhett Wells went supernova For Fruita Monument., dropping a double-double with 51 points and 11 steals. Those 51 points gave Wells a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josh Huskey, who posted 11 points and eight boards.

Lutheran now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Fruita Monument, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 83-63 loss against Palisade on the 6th. As for Fruita Monument, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-35 win against Monarch on the 6th.
