Softball Recap: Northwest Catholic Comes Up Short

Northwest Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Simsbury Trojans, falling 16-0. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 12-0 to the Trojans when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Northwest Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Simsbury, they moved to 5-9 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest Catholic will face off against Ellington at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Simsbury, they will square off against Bristol Eastern at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lancers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
