Baseball Game Preview: Richmond Christian Warriors vs. Grove Christian School Falcons

Richmond Christian has gone a perfect 4-0 against Grove Christian School recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Richmond Christian Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Grove Christian School Falcons at 1:00 p.m.

Richmond Christian gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Grove Christian School by a score of 7-2. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Kelsey Smith made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Four bases. while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Deklen Matthews, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Zack Guillory, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

The win got Richmond Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Grove Christian School, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Richmond Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Grove Christian School in their previous meeting on Thursday, winning 7-2. Will Richmond Christian repeat their success, or does Grove Christian School have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
