Basketball Recap: Argos Comes Up Short

Argos played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays and fell 54-10. The loss continues a trend for the Dragons in their meetings with the Bluejays: they've now lost nine in a row.

North Judson-San Pierre was led to victory by Cailyn Tunis and Shiloh DeBoard. Tunis posted 25 points, while DeBoard almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten boards. What's more, DeBoard also posted a 67% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in November of 2024. Avaree Johnston was another key player, putting up six points.

Argos' defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for North Judson-San Pierre, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Argos will be playing at home against West Central at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Judson-San Pierre, they are taking a road trip to square off against Boone Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
