Pace takes loss despite strong efforts from Hayden Bowman and Tylon Lee

Recap: Pace Patriots vs. Crestview Bulldogs

The Pace Patriots suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Friday. Their rough 55-33 loss to Crestview might stick with them for a while. Pace was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-9.

Pace's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Tylon Lee, who scored 13 points, and Hayden Bowman who scored eight points along with five rebounds. Lee continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

It was another big night for Makhi Jones, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and two steals for Crestview. Jones is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Josiah Klauser, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.

Pace has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Crestview, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pace and Gulf Breeze will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Gulf Breeze has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Crestview, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Niceville at 7:00 p.m. Niceville is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.2 points per game.
