Soccer Game Preview: Woodcrest Christian vs. Aquinas

Woodcrest Christian is 1-8-1 against Aquinas since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Woodcrest Christian Royals will welcome the Aquinas Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Woodcrest Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Woodcrest Christian's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over San Jacinto Leadership Academy. While the Royals didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-11-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Aiden Johnson and Isaac Higgins scored both of Woodcrest Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Meanwhile, Aquinas was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Damien, falling 5-0.

Woodcrest Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Aquinas, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7-1.

Woodcrest Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Aquinas in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will Woodcrest Christian repeat their success, or does Aquinas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
