With a playoff win on the line, Shallowater rose to the challenge on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Brownfield Cubs 60-0. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won six games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Byron Carreon went supernova, rushing for 120 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. Daniel Rideout was in the mix as well, providing Shallowater with two TDs.

The win (which was Shallowater's sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.5 points over those games. As for Brownfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Looking ahead, Shallowater will challenge Peaster at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st. The Greyhounds will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. Brownfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
