Baseball Recap: Southern Lee Comes Up Short

The Southern Lee Cavaliers lost 16-8 to the Ragsdale Tigers on Monday.

Spencer Stephens was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Michael Blanks was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Southern Lee's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Ragsdale, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Southern Lee will head out to challenge Wheatmore at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavaliers are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ragsdale, they will be taking part in a tournament against Southern Alamance at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
