Football Game Preview: Bay Path RVT Minutemen vs. Nipmuc Regional Warriors + Official Tickets

The Bay Path RVT Minutemen will venture away from home to square off against the Nipmuc Regional Warriors at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Nipmuc Regional took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bay Path RVT, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Bay Path RVT needed a bit of extra time to put away Uxbridge. They snuck past the Spartans with a 27-21 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Minutemen.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bay Path RVT to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elias Vega, who rushed for 128 yards and one score on only 15 carries. The Minutemen are 2-1 when Vega posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-4 otherwise. Max Lapriore was in the mix as well, providing Bay Path RVT with three TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bay Path RVT was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 310 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 202 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Nipmuc Regional fell victim to Clinton and their airtight defense on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Gaels. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Nipmuc Regional and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Bay Path RVT, their record is now 3-5.

Bay Path RVT strolled past Nipmuc Regional in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 by a score of 24-8. Do the Minutemen have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
