Volleyball Game Preview: Northern Guilford Nighthawks vs. Eastern Guilford Wildcats + Official Tickets

Northern Guilford is a perfect 7-0 against Eastern Guilford since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Nighthawks will look to defend their home court against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Northern Guilford is coming into the match hot, having won their last 13 games.

It was a classic North v. South duel when Northern Guilford challenged Southeast Guilford on Thursday. The Nighthawks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Falcons.

Northern Guilford never let Southeast Guilford on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 27-25, 25-20.

Northern Guilford can attribute much of their success to Alexis Thielman, who had 15 digs and one assist, and Teagan Rodulfo, who had 12 digs. That's the most digs Thielman has posted since back in August.

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Eastern Guilford and Southern Guilford, and Eastern Guilford kept the tradition alive. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Storm on Monday.

Eastern Guilford had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-11, 25-19, 25-7.

Eastern Guilford's win bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Northern Guilford, their victory bumped their record up to 18-2.
