Baseball Game Preview: Grundy Golden Wave vs. Phelps Hornets

The Grundy Golden Wave will challenge the Phelps Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Grundy will be strutting in after a victory while Phelps will be coming in after a defeat.

Grundy took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Mountain Mission, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Golden Wave had just enough and edged out the Challengers 11-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Golden Wave considering their two-run performance the match before.

Meanwhile, Phelps was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 15-3 to Mingo Central.

Phelps' loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Grundy, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

Grundy beat Phelps 6-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2019. Do the Golden Wave have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
