Basketball Game Preview: Emmaus Hornets vs. Allentown Central Catholic Vikings

Emmaus is 2-8 against Allentown Central Catholic since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Emmaus Hornets will host the Allentown Central Catholic Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Emmaus sitting on 13 straight victories and Allentown Central Catholic on four.

Emmaus will head into Friday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 34-point drubbing they dealt Whitehall on Friday. Emmaus blew past Whitehall, posting a 51-17 win. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 32 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Allentown Central Catholic didn't have too much trouble with William Allen on Thursday as they won 45-31.

Emmaus' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.5 points per game. As for Allentown Central Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
