Notre Dame-Green Pond is 8-2 against Saucon Valley since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Crusaders will face off against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Notre Dame-Green Pond is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Wednesday, Notre Dame-Green Pond made easy work of Catasauqua and carried off a 26-4 victory. Fans of the Crusaders have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Emily Szczepanski looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Notre Dame-Green Pond let Natalie Lilly and Riley Palank run wild. Lilly went a perfect 4-for-4 with eight RBI, four runs, and two doubles, while Palank went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. With that strong performance, Lilly is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Another player making a difference was Sydney Ryan, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Notre Dame-Green Pond lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Saucon Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past Palmerton 6-5.
Morgan Seyfried spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits.
At the plate, Alexis Quinones was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases. Savannah Schlegel was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
Notre Dame-Green Pond's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.5 runs over those games. As for Saucon Valley, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Saucon Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Notre Dame-Green Pond hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .500. It's a different story for Saucon Valley, though, as they've only averaged .188. Will they be able to contain Notre Dame-Green Pond's hitters?
Everything went Notre Dame-Green Pond's way against Saucon Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Notre Dame-Green Pond made off with a 13-1 victory. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
