Basketball Recap: Santa Barbara Comes Up Short

Santa Barbara was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt an 82-7 loss at the hands of the Ventura Cougars. The match marked the Dons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Ventura's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emily Rea, who went 8 for 12 on her way to 23 points. Brinley Anderson was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards.

Santa Barbara's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Ventura, the win was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-2.

Santa Barbara will be playing in front of their home fans against San Marcos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ventura, they will venture away from home to square off against Buena at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
