Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ashville). Everything went their way against the Cedar Bluff Tigers on Friday as they made off with a 66-46 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Ashville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lydia Northam out in front who posted 17 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. Those five assists gave Northam a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie R. Sanders, who shot 73% from the field to rack up 19 points and five rebounds.

Ashville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 19 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Ashville's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Cedar Bluff, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ashville will host Sardis at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cedar Bluff, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Ragland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
