Halifax had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.7 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They put the hurt on the Lancaster Catholic Crusaders with a sharp 35-14 win. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Cohen Bechtel produced another solid effort rushing for 95 yards and one touchdown. Joseph Witmer made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Another reason for the win was Halifax's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Gabe Viars was especially locked on to Lancaster Catholic's QB and sacked him twice. Viars also made four total tackles, which is notable because Halifax is undefeated when he posts at least three total tackles, but 2-3 otherwise. Witmer got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Halifax's record is now 8-3. As for Lancaster Catholic, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-5 record.

Looking ahead, Halifax will square off against Steelton-Highspire at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Steamrollers have now posted at least 31 points in their last six contests. Lancaster Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
