Baseball Recap: Palisade Victorious

Grand Junction typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Palisade proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Tigers. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Danyel Ishida-Farmer was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

Palisade's record now sits at 18-2. As for Grand Junction, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-5.

Looking ahead, Palisade will head out to face off against Rifle at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Grand Junction, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fruita Monument at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
