Football Game Preview: McMinn County Cherokees vs. Red Bank Lions + How To Watch

The McMinn County Cherokees will venture away from home to challenge the Red Bank Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

McMinn County easily dispatched Ooltewah back in September, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Cherokees fell just short of Knoxville Central by a score of 24-21 last Friday. The Cherokees' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

McMinn County might have lost, but man, Jakaryn Dyer was a machine: he rushed for 280 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. Dyer's longest rush was for an incredible 88 yards.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Red Bank duked it out with Hixson on Friday. The Lions walked away with a 27-17 victory over the Wildcats. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Red Bank's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for McMinn County, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 5-2.
