Basketball Recap: Temple Christian Takes a Loss

Temple Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 64-28 defeat at the hands of the Midland Classical Academy Knights. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-12.

Midland Classical Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaleigh Sherrill, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 boards. The dominant performance gave Sherrill a new career-high in rebounds. Addie Dunn was another key player, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten boards.

Temple Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Midland Classical Academy, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-1.

Temple Christian will head out on the road to square off against Lubbock Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Midland Classical Academy, they will challenge Lake Country Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
