Basketball Game Preview: Creekside Seminoles vs. Carrollton Trojans

The Creekside Seminoles will square off against the Carrollton Trojans at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Saturday, Creekside didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against River Ridge, but they still walked away with a 69-63 victory.

Creekside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sydnee Hunter, who went 9-for-20 on her way to 25 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Those 25 points gave Hunter a new career-high. Jacy Mitchell was another key player, putting up 16 points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carrollton). They blew past Midfield, posting a 73-38 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won four games in a row.

Creekside's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Carrollton, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
