Basketball Recap: St. Elizabeth Starts off Right with Win over Linn

St. Elizabeth had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victors by a 49-29 margin over the Linn Wildcats on Friday. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Among those leading the charge was Carter Reinkemeyer, who posted 15 points and three steals. Those 15 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ben Engelmeyer, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.

St. Elizabeth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 69-45 win against Higbee on the 22nd. As for Linn, they will welcome Belle at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
