Football Recap: Teddy Watson and Nathan Fox Pace Sacred Heart Prep Defense

Sacred Heart Prep lost against Menlo School back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gators took a 21-6 bruising from the Knights. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 349th, while the Knights are ranked 147th).

Sacred Heart Prep didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Teddy Watson and Nathan Fox.

Menlo School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chuck Wynn, who rushed for 124 yards. That's the most rushing yards Wynn has posted since back in September of 2024. Menlo School also got a significant boost from Merrick Ward, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 81 yards.

Sacred Heart Prep's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Menlo School, their record now sits at 8-2.

Sacred Heart Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Menlo School, they will square off against King's Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Menlo School will need to watch out since King's Academy has now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
