Baseball Recap: Wayne Hills Comes Up Short

After flying high against Clifton on Friday, Wayne Hills came back down to earth. The Patriots fell just short of the Nutley Maroon Raiders by a score of 6-4 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Patriots have suffered since May 18, 2024.

Wayne Hills dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Nutley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Wayne Hills will challenge Fair Lawn at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Nutley, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against St. Benedict's Prep at 4:00 p.m.
