Football Game Preview: Wilson Wildcats vs. Linfield Christian Lions + How To Watch

The Wilson Wildcats will challenge the Linfield Christian Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilson will be strutting in after a win while Linfield Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Wilson's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They breezed past Sierra Vista to the tune of 35-0. That looming 35-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wildcats yet this season.

Wilson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jason Flegeance III led the charge by throwing for 108 yards and two TDs, while also punching in one rushing score. The Wildcats' leading receiver Josiah Lewis was Flegeance III's top target yet again, picking up 63 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Wilson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 243 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Wilson's defense and their four sacks. Esteban Trujillo was especially locked on to Sierra Vista's QB and sacked him three times. Wilson is undefeated when Trujillo posts one or more sacks, but 1-5 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Linfield Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. The game between the Lions and Western Christian didn't end well, with the Lions falling 35-20.

Wilson pushed their record up to 5-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.3 points over those games. As for Linfield Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
