Soccer Recap: York Comes Up Short

York was the 4-1 winner over Seward when they last played one another back in May of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Bluejays who were credited with the victory on Tuesday. The Seward Bluejays got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the York Dukes' two. Ruby Reynolds is probably feeling rather frustrated with she team right now: they lost despite she posting three goals.

York is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8. As for Seward, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. York is set to face off against their familiar foe Holdrege on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Seward will take on rival Aurora on Tuesday.
