Roncalli Catholic came into Friday's game looking for another win against Gross Catholic, but Robbie Brennan wouldn't allow it. The Cougars strolled past the Crimson Pride with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 27-8 with plenty of help from Brennan, who rushed for 208 yards and two scores. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 110.3 rushing yards per game.

One reason for the win was Gross Catholic's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece. Anthony Bogdanovich got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The victory made it two in a row for Gross Catholic and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 15 points in those games. As for Roncalli Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Gross Catholic will venture away from home to face off against Brownell Talbot at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Brennan and Owen Ohnoutka. As for Roncalli Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ashland-Greenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crimson Pride will need to watch out since the Bluejays have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
