Baseball Recap: Dayton Comes Up Short

Dayton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against New Providence, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 7-5 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Dayton's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for New Providence, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.

While Dayton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
