Volleyball Recap: Udall Takes a Loss

Udall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fairfield Falcons. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Udall sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 19-25, 25-18.

Liberty Mason paced Udall's offense, picking up seven kills. Mason got some help from Brilee Pellegrini and her 15 assists. Leah Sade controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Udall's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fairfield, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Udall will take on Oxford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Fairfield, they will venture away from home to challenge Chase on Thursday.
