Basketball Game Preview: Winthrop Vikings vs. Northbridge Rams

The Winthrop Vikings will face off against the Northbridge Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Monday, Winthrop didn't have too much trouble with Smith Vo-Tech as they won 51-32. The win made it back-to-back victories for Winthrop.

Meanwhile, Northbridge waltzed into their contest last Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Minutemen with a sharp 53-28 victory. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Northbridge pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games. As for Winthrop, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.
