After losing to Bethel Christian the last time they met, Hesperia Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Patriots blew past the Kings 70-34 on Tuesday.

Gabe Sanchez had an outrageously good game as he shot 58% from the field en route to 16 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Davide Marenco, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Hesperia Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bethel Christian only posted six.

Bethel Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Joseph Kyababchian and Cesar Contreras. Kyababchian went 5-for-9 on his way to 15 points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds, while Contreras almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards. Kyababchian has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

The victory got Hesperia Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Bethel Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Hesperia Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 47-42 loss against Lucerne Valley on the 19th. As for Bethel Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-36 defeat against Academy of Careers & Exploration on the 19th.
