There's no place like home for Waccamaw, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Georgetown Bulldogs an 8-0 shutout on Friday. Waccamaw might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Georgetown from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Skylar Schoen led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Waccamaw pushed their record up to 8-8-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Georgetown, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waccamaw will take on Wando at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Georgetown, they will face off against Aynor at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
