Volleyball Recap: Pittsfield Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Pittsfield was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mount Everett Regional on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Generals took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mount Anthony Patriots on Wednesday. The Generals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18, 19-25, 25-12.

Pittsfield's offense was headlined by Shyanne Mungin and Isabelle Nkrumah, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Grace Makdisi and her 25 assists. Mungin was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Pittsfield has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Mount Anthony, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6.

Pittsfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mount Anthony, they will venture away from home to square off against Hartford at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
