Football Recap: West Springfield Spartans vs. South County Stallions

With a playoff game on the line, West Springfield rose to the challenge on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the South County Stallions 41-12. This was payback for the Spartans, who suffered a 43-25 loss the last time these two teams met.

It was another big night for Mark-Anthony Whyte, who rushed for 245 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. His longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards. West Springfield also got a significant boost from Scott Lewis, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 90 yards.
