Volleyball Recap: Hart Takes a Loss

The Hart Pirates didn't have quite enough to beat the Morley Stanwood Mohawks on Tuesday and fell 2-1. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Reese Smith paced Hart's offense, picking up 12 kills. Smith got some help from Cali Eisenlohr and her 15 assists. Alayna Schiller and Grace Tucker kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Leading Morley Stanwood to victory were Lila Prescott and Saige Ososki. Prescott had six digs and four aces, while Ososki had eight digs and one assist. Prescott has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Hart now has a losing record of 20-21-1. As for Morley Stanwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-12 record this season.

Hart has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Fremont on the 28th. Morley Stanwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
