Baseball Recap: Atherton Comes Up Short

Atherton fell victim to Ballard and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 12-0 to the Bruins. The Ravens haven't had much luck with the Bruins recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Atherton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Auston Henson, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Atherton's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Ballard, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Atherton will head out on the road to square off against Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Yellow Jackets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.25 runs per game on average), something the Ravens will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ballard, they will square off against St. Laurence at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
