Basketball Recap: York Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for York, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They took down the Broome Centurions 58-43 on Thursday. The Cougars pushed the score to 48-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Centurions cut but never quite recovered from.

Peyton Lowery was a one-man wrecking crew as he shot 45% from the field to rack up 17 points and eight boards. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Zan Walling was another key player, going 5-for-12 on his way to 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

York now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Broome, their record now sits at 0-2.

Looking ahead, York won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Columbia at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Broome, they and Blacksburg will face off at 7:45 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
