Football Recap: Mattanawcook Takes a Loss

Mattanawcook managed to slip by John Bapst Memorial the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lynx had to suffer through a 41-7 loss at the hands of the Crusaders. The Lynx were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

John Bapst Memorial had a senior duo take command as Aiden Ouellette rushed for 134 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries and Malcolm Butler gained 89 total yards and two touchdowns.

Mattanawcook now has a losing record of 1-2. As for John Bapst Memorial, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Mattanawcook wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 50-40 victory against Belfast on the 26th. As for John Bapst Memorial, they have also already played their next contest, a 27-14 win against Winslow on the 27th.
